At SNS Recruitment we are currently looking for a passionate and skilled sous chef to join their clients Mexican restaurant located around the Bermondsey area.

To ensure the food standard remains consistently high in terms of food and drinks as well as hospitality & experience.
As the Sous Chef you are responsible for achieving the restaurant projections with regard to daily operations, sales targets, cost control, employee staffing & retention, health and hygiene standards, restaurant events financial and food related issues to very high standards jointly with Head Chef.
40-48 Hours per week
Shift Patterns (Start time / Finish Time):
Tuesday – Friday: 3pm – 11pm
Sunday: 11am- 8pm
£32,000 – £34,000 Per Annum

4. Health & Safety, Hygiene, Fire, Licence:
Maintaining health & safety of self and others within the performance of duties in accordance with the company health & safety policy.
Responsibility for keeping track of all ingredient allergens, update Allergy Matrix according to ingredients and menu changes and implementing training to BOH & FOH.
Responsibility for the maintenance, review and control of the company’s food safety procedures and take remedial action when required.
Responsibility for the maintenance, review and control of the company’s accident reporting, COSHH assessments and first aid procedures.
Day to Day responsibility for ensuring the company’s health and safety procedures are put into practice and to take remedial action when required.
To make sure Company comply with EHO legislation, including all temperature files, cleaning schedules and diary, allergens and how to monitor these including waste control.
Working closely with FOH management team in achieving Food Alert targets.
7. Reporting / Company involvement:
Attend weekly meetings with General Manager, Ops Manager & Senior Management team.
Reporting weekly financials & any issues to Head Chef.
Feed into & develop company strategy & systems as company grows & evolves.
To ensure all sensible information, including staff information, company strategy & plans, Management & Directors sensible information is kept confidential at all times.
